Charity Rock Band Night at the Union


Hey gamers,

Clear out your diaries, cause the RGU Gaming Society and RUGRAG are invading RGU:UNION this Saturday, or the 22nd of November, which ever one you prefer.

So it's going to be Rock Band, for the charity Childs Play, starting at 8 on the first floor of the union.

So get dressed up in your rock gear and rock out for charity.

LANAGE & Guitar Hero Tournament


Hello Gamers,

Our first LAN is scheduled for the 18th of October, 9 a.m. in the 3rd floor training room at RGU:Union.

If you wish to come along please let me know A.S.A.P. by either replying to this e-mail or talk to one of the committee members.

Worms World Party

The LAN rules are as follows:
ONLY 2 sockets will be available to each participent, this means only monitor and systems.
NO speakers, if you want sound, use some headphones/earbuds.
BRING a surge protector, there may be not enough sockets to go about.
BRING an ethernet cable, the longer the better! If you're placed on the edgeof the room then the cables we have may not reach you.
DO NOT eat/drink in the LAN Room, there will be a meeting room made available for eating/drinking.
THERE will be a car made available please talk to Andrew about your travel arrangements (and donate some fuel money for him being a little bituseful)
TAKE money for food, it's a long day and you'll get hungry!
VIRUS CHECK

I also mentioned that there's an organisation called BreachLAN, website at breachlan.org.uk, if we can get enough interest, we can get a bit of a discount.

The LAN is being held between the 27th of February 2009 till 1st of March 2009.

It will cost £20 but it will also be professional with dedicated serversand there's the possibility of RGU vs Aberdeen U. I urge you all that are interested to register and if you know for sure that you want to go, sign up. In order to tell the RGU guys apart, please in the register section of the website, put your clan as =RGU=

Again if you are wanting to go to this I'll need the money by December so let me know if you're up for it.

Nowour meeting this wednesday will once again be in the 1st floor and will include the usual mix of Wii, xbox 360 and other fun stuff.

Next week we shall have a Guitar Hero Tournament that involves Guitar Hero2, Guitar Hero 3:Legends of rock and Guitar Hero:Aerosmith with prizesfor the winner, runner up and maybe some surprise prizes?

Freshers Week and First Meeting


Hello Gamers, hope you've all had a good summer.

Our first meeting will be on the 24th of September at 4 p.m. at the first floor at the RGU:Union, so bring along your hand held consoles and we'll be gaming until 8 p.m.

We will be appearing at the freshers fayre on Thursday so if you're about then come say hi and enter our raffle.

The raffle we'll be holding is IMMENSE, brimming full with goodies for you gamers with prizes from 505 Games, Telltale Games, Rare and Microsoft. There will also be posters and other such things from our lovely sponsors at Solid Gold and North East Peripherals.

We will also be about on Friday at the union at midday as the union is hosting a Wii/PS3/PES event on the second floor.
